Maybe the problem back then was inadequate shelter, a hectic environment, all cockerels, pigs, kids, horses, all my redneck drinking buddies, and on and on and on. you learn a lot in 20 years............
Yeah...Cornish crosses are some of the best feed converters. They are bred for meat...and to grow...FAST. 8 weeks is usually the time the birds are processed. Not noisy either. Too busy stuffing their faces for noise! LOL
