    OK, I want to get some guineas and let them free range but my dogs might chase them and eat them.So can guineas run fast or fly can they jump good these are the qustion i need to know? oh yea do you think i could train a boder colie and corgi and a mutt not to chase them?

    Your question can't be answered. You know your dogs, you know whether or not they bother your chickens. If they do then you have your answer. Guineas prefer to run over flying so chances are big that they will run from a predator first.

    They do and can be the dickens to get down if its close to time to roost for the night. A mature flock is not as big of a problem about taking to trees if trained to return to their coop at night. A good training tool is millet in treat dishes. All it takes is getting one to come in and begin the happy sounds of eating millet to draw stragglers in.

    Young birds play at flying in to trees and back out again.
