"I can pounce," Beetlepaw said, making a loose, weak pounce.“Come with me.” He said in his deep mew. “We’re going to the training hollow. Do you know any battle moves already?” Not expecting any surprising or impressing answer.
"You can pounce in battle too," pointed out Beetlepaw.“Great.” He said with dry sarcasm. “But we’re talking about battle moves, we’ll get to hunting tomorrow.”
Crowpaw jerked looking up."Cold?"The word came from him unexpectedly, his icy blue eyes searching the Tom. He stood up."Did you get a...prophecy? A dream?Coldshard walked to Four Trees.
"Sparrow, Morning, Heron, Sparrow..." he repeated. He smelled another cat there.
He twisted his face into a frown as he saw an apprentice from another clan. He couldn't remember the apprentice from a gathering, but he hadn't been in one for a couple months. It smelled of Maple.
"Crow?" He asked.
"Ok," said Beetlepaw. He wasn't one for long replies to cats older than him.“True.” He said twitching his whiskers in amusement. “But in battle, your hunting cats, not mice or voles. Therefore, even more balance is needed to succeed your opponent.” Surpressing a mrow of laughter after seeing Beetlepaw’s weak pounce. “But I want you to remember, never take a life without cause, real courage means knowing when to spare a life, and not to take one.”
“But you’ll get there.” He mewed more gently.
"Yes," Coldshard said sharply. "Only black cats are named Crow."Crowpaw jerked looking up."Cold?"The word came from him unexpectedly, his icy blue eyes searching the Tom. He stood up."Did you get a...prophecy? A dream?
Robinwing approached him. She honestly didn't care if he had a weird hobby with flowers or not, she just wanted to get things done.Batwhistle-Mapleclan-territory
Batwhistle looked at the flawless clover with awe and affection. It reminded him so much of his mother, Cloverwisp. It’s soft petals and her soft, beautiful pale silver cream fur. He vowed silently to himself to protect, provide, and care for the flower, just as he would never cease doing the same for Cloverwisp. Then his ears jerked up in time to see Robinwing walking over the moore, remarking the scentlines and heading his way. Odd. He thought. That she doesn’t have a patrol with her.
(Are Cedarheart and Cloverwisp elders or warriors? If warriors, they should be hunting right now.)Eaglestar-Mapleclan-camp
Eaglestar surveyed the camp with calm eyes. He saw Batwhistle returning from a hunting patrol carrying two rabbits and a field mouse. A handsome catch for this time of year. Eaglestar thought. Presently, he became aware that his eyes were not the only ones following the young tom. Cedarheart, his father, was watching him with surprised narrowed eyes. But would occasionally steel his gaze away to Cloverwisp.
Cougarpounce reaches the hollow without another word, having fallen into his usual reserved countenance. “Alright,” he meowed, “I’m going to start with teaching you the basics.” Gives Beetlepaw a few seconds to pay attention before mewing impatiently, “Beetlepaw, quit staring at the ant and pay attention.”"Ok," said Beetlepaw. He wasn't one for long replies.
"Yes," Coldshard said sharply. He sat silently again, staring into the the distance. He would try to speak and socialise with these cats from other clans as little as possible.
Robinwing approached him. She honestly didn't care if he had a weird hobby with flowers or not, she just wanted to get things done.
"Batwhistle, I don't know where you went, but it is no bother. We are patrolling the border, with Sunpelt, who also is not here. Yet strangest of all, my apprentice Sparrowpaw is nowhere to be found. It is an odd night indeed," she said, with a casual flick of her tail."
