OK, we got our new bunny Friday and we are completely smitten with him. His cage is in my daughters room. We pretty much have always kept our rabbits outside but this one will be staying inside I do believe!
I am wanting to see cage set ups, rabbit pictures (all breeds please).

AND I would love some homemade or tried and true favorite rabbit toys!

All my rabbits are outside but they have a length of drain tubing to run through, they LOVE cardboard toilet paper tubes, apple and pear branches (about 2 inch diameter), dandelions (flowers and greens), clover, and mine also like to "free range" supervised in a dog crate with the tray pulled out of the bottom.

Where in Va are you? I'm from Martinsville but am moving to Powhatan soon. [IMG]

I use these type cages for my rabbits and guinea pigs http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm . For the rabbits (and occasionally for raising chicks in) I build a top on it and front swinging doors. My main rabbit cage also has a plywood base coated in nontoxic marine polyurethane to water proof the wood. It lasts longer than the coroplast base.

Also take a look at the house rabbit society http://www.rabbit.org/ and I like the forum http://www.rabbitsonline.net/ .

So what I have my Hermes in is basically a small animal playpen.

This is inside and I bought a cheap rug for $20 at Fred Meyer and put that under the cage.
His litter box is a plastic rubbermaid sweaterbox filled with a layer of stalldry, peat moss, pine shavings and then timothy hay in one corner.
This is the best way I've found to keep the smell down. I change it about twice a week. He's mostly litterbox trained in that he always pees in his box but will leave the occasional poo pellet behind which is easily vacuumed up. He's only 10 weeks though and he's done really well in learning to use his box.

For toys I use baby toys

And one I couldn't find a link for are these small plushie animals with hard metal tube bodies filled with metal bells that clang and the metal tube is covered in fabric. They have velcro straps on their tails so I can hang them on the side of the cage. Hermes loves to toss them around and make the bells ring.

I also use large sections of PVC pipes for hidey spots and tunnels around his cage. He has an outdoor cage too that he can spend time grazing in. It's a 5' X5' cage.
