A racoon got 2 of my girls and the other chickens have stopped eating much...... they are behaving very shy, I get that after the scare they had but they don't want to eat very much and I'm worried, it's been 3 weeks, maybe its a season changing thing although the weather is pretty much the same. Anyone have any ideas or similar experiences.

It seems that they are eating and drinking enough, if it has been three weeks. Try tempting them with some sunflower seeds, scrambled eggs, or oatmeal. Mine also love cat food or tuna. A bit of extra protein and maybe some probiotics (yogurt or buttermilk) would help as well. They have been through a traumatic experience, It will take some time to get over.

The most important thing is to fix it so that the coon can't get back in! Welcome to BYC!
