Well I am not new to this, but only have ever had large fowl.

I am thinking of switching to Bantams, because I am tired of chasing adolescent chicks.
I figure if I just keep them in the Hen House and run, I won't have to chase them, well not much anyway.
Hopefully not run around our property into the neighbors to get them.
Or around and around the Duck House trying to get them back into the right run.

Yes, my run is covered with bird netting. I do raise them for both eggs and.

I am thinking BTW Japs or Belgian D'Uccle's/Barbu's. Maybe even a NHR or Turken Bantam. I do like Turkens.

What would I have to change? Heigth of nest boxes? Roost should be ok.
I do not have a covered outdoor area, though I could set something up.
I want a broody, but not Silkies (they would be covered in mud to often and I am not going to bath them).

Thoughts from you that have Bantams?
Sorry I looked up raising bantams and came up with 25 pages of threads. I have time on my hands but not that much to search out hints and tid bits scattered here and there. I gave up.
