Raising chickens on moonshine...why do they walk so funny?

Hahahahaha,just kidding... that got your attention! ok so i use DLM when I throw scratch in there in the morning, how do you keep it from going in the layers of bedding and rotting? Tried a doggy dish, they just kick it out anyway....Thanks for your help!

Actually adding scratch to the DLM is an added bonus-they love to scratch and dig for treats-so they help keep the DLM mixed and fluffy!!!! I intentionally toss some in areas that I want them to dig/lossen up and it helps prevent boredom.
