Raising chicks - shipped chicks dying?

Might want to put the food and water on a tote lid so they are less likely to eat any bedding.
Also might want to move plates away from back and side wall for better egress.

Great idea, and thank you! I have moved the brooder plates to the center for them to go around. That could have been the reason for the trampled dead chick under the plate from earlier.. it might not have been able to get out.

Hard to know if that's what killed it, but always good to have all around access, especially with taht many chicks.

Thank you everyone! We have had one more fatality which totals 4 (our little faverolle did not make it) however, everyone else is STRONG and HEALTHY!
