Suggestions/ideas on raising silkies. Special considerations, breeding, etc.

Low perches, don't let them get wet too often , if there feet get all muddy you can trim the foot feathers , good luck

Make sure they don't get too hot! Also, I've noticed that they're the sweetest, but not the smartest chickens that we have. Good luck! I love them.

You will need to find the standard of perfection and I think there are two kinds concerning no beard and with beard... breeding color considerations too... I think there is a Silkie thread and they have folks who can help you understand all that. Have fun no matter what you do. We have s few running around in our big flock
