We have had a huge raven hanging around lately. Once it flew down into our hens outdoor pen while we were around so we were able to scare it away, before it did anything to our girls. It has been circling the barn frequently, and yesterday stole a ceramic egg (that we had left next to house as we were not using it with the hens anymore) and flew off (I'm hoping it got quite a surprise when it tried to eat that). Wondering how much I need to worry about it going after our hens (and in a few weeks our ducklings). I have heard it may help keep hawks away, which we have a bunch of, but not sure which is a worse problem.
