Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

Sometimes it takes pullets a while to figure out where to lay their eggs. It helps if you keep fake eggs in the nest boxes at all times. And if you find a hen laying an egg somewhere other than the boxes, place her in the box at that time. But the fake eggs in the boxes always helps to train them as hens like to lay eggs where others have as well.

Good luck with your young flock and welcome to ours!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. I would suggest putting a fake egg in each basket (a golf ball will probably work as well) to influence them to lay there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

I too had the same problem untill they got the hang of it and now they aways use the nest boxes. Wishing you the best of luck with them, enjoy BYC everyone here to help and very friendly :frow
