Good Evening and thank you all for the wealth of information on this site. Are there any commonly agreed upon great reference books for backyard chicken coops and their design? I absolutely don't mind paying for a well thought out set of plans and a cut list. thanks!

Prince T. Woods, you can find his book online. I'm working on making a pdf of it.

I don't have any specific ones, but your local library is often worth checking out. Libraries are starting to have more and more books on chickens because of their popularity growth. A couple quick internet searches will find you free/and or plans at reasonable prices! You can also find plans on this site, if you have some time to look around.

Most plans in chicken coop books are as badly designed as the prefab coops in the farm stores and online, but they sure sell a lot of them!...IMO don't waste your money.

Learn here what chickens need, then design your own coop.
