How exciting!! Good Luck!. This site has a wealth of information and really knowledgable & experienced members to help you along the way. I just got my chicks a little over a week ago, still setting up my coop :(. Please share pictures when you get the chicks! What kind are you getting?

I would expect a call early Friday morning. I'm in South Texas and mine were shipped on a Wednesday and I received them early Friday morning. The trackings usually gonna say you'll receive them three days after they ship but I've always got mine in two. It should arrive at your local post office, it helps to call. I've ordered from several different Hatcheries and Cackle's shipping boxes were the best prepared for shipping, IMO. Got my chicks in February and they are still very healthy.

I looked up my closest post office, i will stop by there tomorrow and annoy them :) give them my info and tell them to please call me at anytime they arrive.

What can I expect? What does tracking show? I am in Maryland. I guess I can expect a call Friday morning. I don't even know what post office it would go to.
Whatever your postal code is it will go to that PO. Shipper puts your phone # on outside of box with instructions to call and hold. Call or stop by your PO. Tell them you are expecting a box of chicks. Find out hen the truck shows up and be there waiting. Usually very early. They know the drill .

Yeah, I know what you mean. I definitely annoy my PO, I call them around 6:30a.m. on the day I expect them to check. My postmaster told me someones usually there at 3a.m.
