    Is there a way to download or record YouTube videos? I teach Spanish and need some Spanish multimedia stuff (just found this out last Wed.) and I played around with it this weekend and couldn't figure it out. Thanks.

    Go to keepvid.com, you paste the link from youtube, and download various sizes

    didn't know about that one, nice.

    there's also various add-ons for different browsers that allow you to do this easily. i use firefox and have one that adds download links to every youtube page you view, it's called "1-Click Youtube Video Downloader". gives you the option of downloading as flv, mp4 or 3gp. there's similar for chrome.

    I gave up and watched Gala with my handy dandy VCR

    When it doubt, use simpler tech
