Hi everyone, just to preface this, we only have two chickens as animal companions. They don't live in a coop, but have free-reign of our small yard and home and sleep in our bedroom, so very sanitary conditions. One of them, Jackie, our New Hampshire Red, has been dealing with a chronic case of tapeworm over the last year. We've treated her with Safeguard paste multiple times: 5 days, pea sized amount, twice a day, repeat 10 days later for 5 more days. Every single time, it's a matter of about a month before we see them again in her stool. What's going on? Have they become resistant? Is there a more effective option? Our other hen, Kate, is a small game hen, and she does not have this issue. Thanks in advance!
