I looked through a few pages looking for red ant control or anything like that. I didn't see it. So if this is a repete then I am sorry. I have red ants so darn bad in & around my chicken coop. My chicken coop is large & can not be moved. So what you do do for red ants with chickens around? Thank you for any input!
My guineas don't touch the red ants. Someone said corn meal or corn starch others swear by DE. If you find something that really works let us know. I haven't tried the cornmeal or cornstarch.
Do you have red fire ants? (The ones that sting and have the potential to have 100+ queens) Or the larger, 1/4 of an inch red Formica ant that is fast, aggressive, but has no sting and sprays acid.
I have tried the corn meal and it didn't do anything. There was a thread on Friday I think about killing ants ETA: Here is the thread. Couple different ways to kill ants. Hope this helps https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=359112
Thank you everyone. These ones bite! & It stings & hurts for a while. I will try a few of the things listed on the other thread, thanks for posting.
