Red around the eyes

Good afternoon! I have four ~9 week old chicks. This morning my son told me one had a red eyes. Someone had mentioned early stages of a sinus infection. Any one have ideas? And if so, what should I do? Thankyou!

First off... Welcome to BYC!!!

I honestly don't see much of a difference. That being said, I wouldn't rule out sickness completely. Keep watch for any sneezing, gasping, lethargy, etc. Best wishes and good luck!

I don't see anything abnormal. This is a photo I found on Google. The eyes are red too. I wouldn't be worried. But like, I said, keep watching for illness.

What age are your chickens? The red could mean they are getting ready to lay.

Ohhh thank you! They are RIR’s so maybe they are just continuing to grow!

They are ~9 to 10 weeks old, so not egg laying age yet.

Oh alright. I wouldn't be worried. If it gets puffy and swollen, then would be the time to worry.
