Does anyone remember The Matrix and Neo was offered the red or blue pill? The red would wake him from the matrix...the blue would allow him to live in denial? I feel like I took the red pill. Seriously. I don't know how else to explain what my husband and I are finally seeing.

I don't trust the government or corporations. That's why I grow a lot of my own food and steer clear of them as much as possible.

Have you heard the phrase "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention" ?

And then the other side of the fence "Ignorance is bliss" ?

I had a talk with my teenage son a few years ago. He is extremely gifted, and knowledgeable well beyond his years. I want him to be active and informed, but not to the point that it leads to depression. When you really know what is going on in the world it can be quite overwhelming.
I mean- I'd love to be on a Greenpeace boat trying to save whales form the Japanese- but it's not realistic. You do what you can to make the world a better place, and pray that you're not alone.

If I take a purple pill does that mean I can have a happy medium?

That article is enough to turn your stomach! I wonder if high end pet foods use the same kind of stuff? Meat and bone meal is in all of them I think. Terri O in WI

So fifty years ago, 90-something percent of hamburger was being purposefully mixed with ammonia? Fifty years ago farmers were being prosecuted for harvesting their own seeds? I don't think so.

Quote:My point is that how do you know it wasn't? Media back then was a newspaper and one news channel, if you even had a TV.
