I AM LOOKING FOR A MULTI PURPOSE, POSSIBLY FREE-RANGE, CHICKEN. I HEARD ABOUT RED RANGERS, BUT GROWTH IS SLOW AND I'M NOT SURE ABOUT EGG PRODUCTION?

HOW DO THEY COMPARE TO DARK CORNISH? WHICH WOULD DO BETTER IN A FREE-RANGE ENVIRONMENT AS FAR AS MEAT AND EGG PRODUCTION? ANOTHER REQUIREMENT WOULD BE TO REPRODUCE FOR A CONTINUOUS SUPPLY OF MEAT AND EGGS.

PREDATORS ARE ALSO AN ISSUE. MOSTLY OWLS, OCCASIONALY RACCOONS. I'VE HEARD THAT CORNISH ARE STRONG AND WILL WORK TOGETHER AS A FLOCK.

    ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE WONDERFULL!!!

    THANKS!

Those stats are really interesting! Thanks so much for the information! I am definately leaning towards the Red rangers based on your stats, plus I am ordering from Mcmurray hatchery and they are much cheaper than Dark Cornish!

I wish someone had stats for the Dark cornish to compare to.

Thanks again! and good luck this season!!!
