GOT MY VERY FIRST EGG from MY chickens. I bought an older hen who was laying but this egg is special! It's from chickens I raised from chicks

I jsut got home from taking my dog to the vet after he was hit by a car (he's ok no breaks) and I heard a LOT of commotion down in the hen house. BOY did she want me to know she laid her first egg. She had ALL the other hens bawking along with her wondering WHY she was going bonkers!

My Serama roo was showing the girls the nest boxes yesterday and two of them were checking it out. She has been allowing him to mate her the past two days also along with one of the other girls. It's hilarious watching a Serama roo mate with a big girl! He did his best..I'm curious if its fertile! I will crack it tomorrow for breakfast and see

OH SO HAPPY! My dog has NO broken bones and I got my first egg!

So, if I go let my dogs run around in the street I might get my first egg too?

At this point I'm so desperate that I'm willing to do just about anything, even sacrifice the mutts! (I am SOOOOOO kidding on this one!)

My dog wasn't even on the street, hubby accidentally ran him over in the driveway.

The dog was sleeping under the car and he didn't see him there and he never come out to greet him like they always do. Weird...but it all turned out well. He is still sore but he's prob got a big bruise! I got pain shots for him...that makes him happy

One of my dogs got hit once. I saw it happen and he even under the tire. I couldn't believe it when 1) he didn't die instantly, and 2) nothing was broken! I felt bad for the kid who hit him, he looked like he was a bout to cry. It definitely not his fault....
