Is this 21 week old pullet a red sex link or a hatchery quality New Hampshire? She was buff/yellow as a chick.

She doesn't have the white feather one normally associates with a red sex link. You're guess at hatchery grade NH is as good as any.

She doesn't look like a RSL to me. I don't know much about hatchery New Hampshires (or any NH's, for that matter). She's a pretty girl!

She's the younger twin to my BOB (big orange broody). I always think of her as a hatchery NH, but never knew for sure. :)

Your hen looks just like some New Hampshires from McMurray my friend has.

The fact that she's not laying yet also gives evidence that she's a NH. Sexlinks tend to start laying real early, 18-20 weeks.

Plus most RSLs have the white undercolor. She does not.

All this to say.... I think you have a beautiful New Hampshire that's gonna start laying very soon. [IMG]

I've had both MMM New Hampshires and MMM Red Sex Links, and that's def. a New Hampshire. The fact that it was a yellow chick, not a red chick, clinches it.

What color are her legs?
Yellow is New Hampshire I think, if whiteish/pinkish color, she is an Orpington mix
