    I considered doing nothing for winter after researching how chickens really don't need anything special, but I just had to. Gonna be 29 degrees tonight in the foothills of NC. Being a quilter, I call it patchwork!

    WoooHOOOO!! That is wonderful! I've been saving chicken feed and dog food bags with no real aim in mind. I had toyed with the bag idea, but never got around to it. Hated to throw them away because they're such great material that had to be good for something. Now I know what that something is. Good work there, Nurse_Turtle!! Love it!
