On a 12-0 vote, the council agreed to allow only one rooster per property unless such birds are part of a "permitted and licensed commercial, agricultural or industrial business" -- and on a street with the proper zoning.​

They are allowing up to three for people who already have roosters, but they cannot be replaced when they die. 4-Hers get an exemption for the 50 dollar fee for each rooster above one.

Breeders are also exempt. It's aimed at cockfighters, and the fines will go to enforce the laws against cockfighting.
