I'm sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forums!! But, do any of you guys know any hatcheries? They have to be close to Michigan lake! and willing to take in ducks. Thanks in advance!

I'm also not sure what you're looking for? Hatcheries do NOT take in outside animals...they could lose their entire flock through disease/parasite introduction. There are a million ways to rehome poultry...craigslist, local rescue groups, facebook classifieds pages, bulletin boards at feed stores/vet clinics/grocery stores, etc. Of course if you have a problem animal (like an agressive drake/rooster) you don't want to deal with, don't think anyone else is going to want to deal with it either anyplace except their freezer. All of the same places to rehome them are good places to find them.

Post in animals in need of free rehoming. Post the area you are located in. Maybe someone there will take your babies.

I'm looking for either rescued ducks or ducks that need to go to a good home. I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota, does anyone have any ideas.

Thank you

you might try here https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/16182/animals-in-need-of-free-re-homing

go here and start a thread asking if anyone is from South Dakota then you may find some local good luck https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread

also Craigslist in your area and might find some rescues too.

No...we have a small "Pet" farm and the two ducks grew up together. So the other one has been looking for the one that passed away. Thank you for your suggestions.
