I just went outside to check on my hens and found this odd egg laying on the outside of the coop in the gravel.
Did they reject it because it was awkward, or by accident?
And why does it look like this?
The possible breeds it could be from are: Buff Orpington, Golden Comet, Speckled Sussex, or Barred Rock.
    Please give me some info!
All of my hens are 24.7 weeks old.

Might have just been one of those oops eggs that newly laying chickens sometimes lay.

If your hens are just starting to lay, they tend to have more "accidents" such as laying soft-shelled eggs and laying eggs outside the nest box; it's pretty normal and as hens mature, they will likely stop doing it.
