repeated neck jerking

my chicken keeps doing that neck jerk thing like she’s trying to adjust her crop but she’s been doing it almost nonstop for like an hour. her comb seems to be a little darker red than normal and she’s making little gasping noises every so often. i am attaching a link to a video i took of her

Have you felt her crop to see if it's hard, lumpy, full, flat, full of liquid or smelled her breath to see if it smells like a dirty dishrag? She has a crop issue of some kind. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

I agree, it does look like crop adjustment.

Check her crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink. If it's not empty, then begin treating her.

Does she lay eggs?
Feel her abdomen below the vent between her legs to see if there's a feeling of fluid or if she's bloated.
She may have more going on than just a crop issue, but addressing the crop would be the first thing I would do.

she is 4 years old and has only laid like 3 eggs and none in a long time
