I am guessing this chick to be about 6 to 8 weeks old. He/she was sick at TSC and the manager gave her/him to us. Well the little chick is thriving now. I was hoping for a possible cochin pullet...but it's looking iffy.
    What do you think?

I'd have to guess rooster. They develop really slowly, but that comb at eight weeks makes me think rooster.

Everything was pointing towards pullet...until that comb grew. I don't know anything about Cochins. I was hoping that they grew big combs early. LOL
    That is a Cochin, yes?

Yes cochin but it looks like rounded hackle feathers to me which indicates pullet. Pointed hackle feathers indicate cockeral. We can't judge by comb size alone. :thumbsup

You can't judge by comb size alone, but pullets do NOT grow wattles at 8 weeks old! Definite boy. Saddle/hackle feathers won't come in until after 12 weeks.
