My daughter found and rescued a neighborhood chicken. Owner said she thought it was dead for months. The other chickens had attacked it and chased it away. After getting warm and eating at our house, the hen perked up, and I thought there was nothing much wrong with her. She is very non-reactive/abnormally docile, which I assumed was from trauma and weakness. There were feathers missing from around the tail area, but nothing major. However, a few days in she had terrible seizure like activity. She recovered completely. But now in that bald area with broken or newly emerging feathers she has yellow liquid oozing that I assume is pus. I'll post a picture in the comments. My daughter picked her up and her hand was covered in it. Is this pus/infection, and if so how do I treat it? Thanks.
