Respiratory illness...can it be spread to parakeets?

I have a sick chicken (wheezing, sneezing, swollen head) that I just discovered this morning. I immediately isolated her and dosed her with Tylan 50. She's in a cage in my basement.

I have a pet parakeet and was wondering if he could catch the same respiratory disease? Of course I'm being cautious and washing my hands and keeping the parakeet upstairs but I was wondering if anyone knows if chickens can give diseases to parakeets?
