Hello my flock has gotten CRD and I am culling the carriers. I separated the healthy ones but my young rooster is being ver weird. He acts like he is about to crow and then doesn't. When I touch his throat he looks lie he is choking. I don't know if he caught he CRD or something else. Anything helps!

What symptoms have you seen so far in the sick chickens? There are more than a handful of various respiratory diseases with different symptoms. Some are viruses, some are bacterial, and some are caused by fungus from mold. When one chicken is exposed to a bacterial infection, most can become exposed within days and become carriers. Depending on the disease, it is not always necessary to cull your flock.

You may want to look around in your rooster’s throat with a flashlight while someone holds him. Has the weather changed lately?
