How long should eggs rest after delivery before popping in the incubator? I think I forgot everything I read!!!!!

I've settled them as little as five hours and as much as twelve and had decent hatches from either.

i found this on the ebay site .
    Eggs Shipped by Mail:
unpack carefully it is not uncommon to have broken eggs.remove and discard damaged eggs.if some eggs have yoke on them take room temp water and dampen a cloth, lightly clean eggs.
after unpacking LET EGGS SIT STILL FOR ATLEAST 8HRS. this allows the embro to settle after shipping.I like to put them in the same room the incubator is in, so as they settle they get use to the room temp also
i wait 24 hours on mine and i have had some good hatches
