I got two RIR from co-op that I was told all pullets. They are now 5 1/2 weeks old. One has a comb that is more prominent than the other and a dark shade of pink, while the other is still yellow. Are there any other tell tale signs I have a baby cockarel besides waiting for it to grow up and crow? [IMG]

    Thanks, Jamie

Ok now wait a minute the baby we are talking about in the second pic is the chick in the center right. Because the one that is on the left does look more like a little Roo.

In both pics they are pictured together. Same chicks... The redder ones are the RIR.. Disregard the obvious cockarel that's laying on the ground yellow/black. [IMG]

My RIR boys are the same age as yours. Here's what they look like as of today, maybe you can compare your's to them.
