I have a rooster and thought he was a Rhodebar but he kind of looks like a Golden Cuckoo maran. He has White in his sickle feather, does that make a difference? How can you tell which breed he is. He is about a year and a half old.[IMG]

Can we get a profile shot of the bird standing naturally? At this point he looks like a mixed breed bird to me, He's definitely not a Rhodebar with that black chest.

His chest is speckled not black like it looks in the picture. I will get a better picture and repost. Thanks for you comments.

I see the barring (the white bars of color), but they look to be on a black base. A Rhodebar is a mahogany bird, with a red chest overlaid with the barring. No black on the chest.
