the hen is about 8 months old. started as a limp now can hardly stand/walk.
other hens, a least two, limped, then stopped after couple of days
thought it might have been my ladder board to the coop, so i put rug on board so can grip better, mainly when leaving coop. still eating. when i examine leg cant see anything odd.
these are my first chickens to caretake!
what is my best plan?

See "My hen can't stand up today" thread on page 3. It took my hen about 10 days...but she is fine now. The perch in my coop is now less than 2 feet off the ground. I think she was knocked off during the night. Good luck.....Debra

the hen is hanging in there. been keeping in the coop, feeding and watering during day for the past week.
she seems stronger, yesterday she went outside, still limping around. it is almost like the left leg stopped working, but now i see her using it more. good she is eating and all.
thanks for the imput from my poultry caretaker relatives
