Yesterday "Apple," our little hen died.

She was 7 weeks old, and sour crop got to her. She spent the last few days weakly trying to eat tomato bits.

We buried her under an old apple-marked stone today near the new coop so that she can be close to her sisters.

We are all so sorry to read about Apple, she sounds as though she was a very special little girl. May she always sleep in peace in chicken Heaven, our Alice and Georgina promise to look after her for you.

Thanks everyone. We lost another one to sour crop after two months of special care... so frustrating!
