Came home last night and found my favorite rooster had died - not sure what happened - thinking maybe the heat got him
anyhow - who wouldve thought that i would still be crying over a rooster!
He was such a sweet and tame rooster - over a year old - and not even remotely aggressive - loved to be petted and ate out of my hand - i know that people on this board will understand
the hardest part was walking that long walk from the chicken yard to my house to tell my eldest that her favorite baby had died. it is so sad to watch a 23 year old break down
and of course i've raised him and watched him go frm a plain looking lil chick to a gorgeous rooster and been the listener when he talked about his day
he was the first roo i had that was a good pet too
