Probably have an inch! My teacher was talking about her chickens one day! It sounded interesting so I thought I would like to have some! So I bout me an incubator and she gave me 7 eggs but only 3 were fertile and they have the funniest personality! One is a little bitty! She wants it her way! And then I have a little small one that is funny because it just stumbles around everywhere!

From what I understand, newly hatched chicks don't need a lot of food or water for the first 48 hours. You do have it available to them, so that's good! They'll figure it out
Just make sure the water stays fresh and the food too and it'll work out.

Quote:1. How old are they?
2. Do you see them eating often?
3. Is their water plain water, or do you have sugar mixed in?

Answer these questions and I should be able to help.
