RIR Gender

So I got 3 chickens about 8-9 weeks ago. They were all supposed to be pullets. I have a RIR, a Barred Plymouth, and an Americana. The RIR seems to have a rather large comb for a hen and it is very feisty. What are you thinking it may be? Any advice would be appreciated.

It is looking like it could be a cockerel, but it's not definite yet, in my opinion. I would give it a couple of more weeks are re-evaluate then.

Agreed. I've seen some production type pullets get combs early.

I'm betting on cockerel. Seems to be getting darker feathers on shoulders

I'd say cockeral based on redness and size of comb and feathering

all of my RIRS looked like roos. they grew quick. they are all hens. your baby is pretty

RIRs seem to color up early so it could be a pullet. That said the hackles look a little suspect.
