My RIRs are 11 weeks and 3 days old. How much longer until they start laying?
two more months...usually...i have mixed flock with RIR and have had 5 egs last two days...i dont think RIR are the ones..i think the one favoualle and the BO's but since i didnt see i dunno.. mine were born march 19th...jeff
I have two RIR that were born mid-February, but I have not seen any eggs yet. I think they are very close though! Based on my reading of other forums, it looks like RIRs lay around 6-7 months. It will be worth the wait, they are very good layers!
I have 3 RR and they will be 20wks tomorrow and one of them has been laying for alittle over a week and another just started this week so they should start any day now. Good luck it will surprise you when you go out and check them and boom there's an egg. I'm new to this chicken farming but it's growing on me, now we need to find an acreage so I can have more!!!
mine started last wendsday! 19.5 weeks!
NO PROBLEM HOPE THEY LAY SOON!
