RIR rooster or hen?

    It may be hard to tell, but it does have some dark feathers around its neck

    You didn't say how old...I'm guessing 10 to 12 weeks?

    That's a pretty big and red comb so I would say roo unless it's much older (which it doesn't look like to me).

    looks like a hen to me, did you know that RIR can be sexed as day old chicks; females have a dark stripe down the back of their heads and males do not.

    The comb, stance, and the coloration make me think male.
