    The picture is super-fuzzy and the chick is probably too young to tell anyway. Sorry!

    If you wait another 6 to 8 weeks or so and re-post a clear head shot we should be able to tell fairly easily though.

    From my experience, RIR cockerels tend to get large pink combs quite early on.

    Wing sexing only works if the parents have been bred specifically for that. It is too young to determine gender on your Rhode Island Red. I suggest posting more photos when it is at least 6 weeks old.
