Roo and hen living together

Can a roo and 2 hens live in a tractor together. I know that a lot will depend on the individual roo and hen. My little girl bought a Frizzled white hen and roo today and they are only about 3 months old. She wants to get at least one more for now and we want to build her a tractor. Are older roo has already tried to kill the little guy. (She put them in the pen before I could get there to put them up in the chick loft.)

As you correctly surmised, it depends on the personalities of the chickens. My roo is so sweet that his hen friend can't bear to be without him but as we know, not all roos are quite that gentle!
