My rooster, a Speckled Homburg, has attacked one of my sweet little hens, a rose-comb wynadotte. She hid from him all day yesterday, and we just thought it was because he was chasing her trying to mate. When he caught her, she would get really low to the ground so that he couldn't mate. We locked them all up in the coop last night, and this morning he attacked her. She is bleeding from her comb and we can't tell if he pecked her eyes or not. Blood all over her. She is on the roost, so we let the other hens and the rooster out of the coop and locked the door. I don't know how to doctor her and I am afraid to let him back in the coop with her. Now, what should we do? I am so mad at that rooster!
