lots of water tonight - I tipped him over and it ran out like a water bottle. He is also hoarse and seemed to be trying to clear himself.

ideas? thoughts?

How viscous is the liguid? Is he sneezing at all? Does he have ruffled feathers? Is he moping around? How long has this been going on? Are there any other chickens that have symptoms? What is the temperature where you are at? Does he have lots of clean water? What does he eat? Where does he live? How big a run? Whats on the ground? Has it been raining a lot? What kind of bedding? Does he have sores on the inside of his mouth? If he has sores on the inside of his mouth what do they look like? Any new birds come or go? How long have you had him? Is he gasping? Are his eyes swollen? Or his face?

ETA: Could be a number of respiratory diseases. Quarantine from other birds. Start out on some vitamins in the water. Investigate.

liquid was pretty clear. not sneezing. no ruffled feathers. not moping. He had issues w/ hoarse and havingn to drink deep (was using pond) before and had trichimonis and I now suspect it is back. I think the night I picked him up, he had been drinking out of the goosies food mixed up water bucket perhaps. He is eating, but not enough... he has lost a lot of weight. I cannot see sores in mouth, but suspect it.

very hard to look.

shaving bedding... not raining, beautiful for last couple of weeks. no new birds. had him since he was an egg - 5 years. eyes not swollen.. breathing a bit bad
