no but how do i stop this?

The only way to stop it is to separate them. Is the duckling a male or female?

If the duck is female he will continue to mate her.

If the duckling is male it can be an act of dominance but eventually once the drake grows up he will compete and fight the roo for the right to mate the hens.

You need a companion for the duckling and they need their own place to roam.

I have the opposite, I have a drake trying to mate with my hens!

I tell him that they aren't even his species, he doesn't listen.

Really though, I had to take them away from him, because one of my hens has a bunch of her feathers missing on the back of her head and neck because of them. The poor female duck, she's the same. Crazy poultry, huh?

they do it everyday!!!!!!!! i remember when i was young and had that much energy!!!!!! lol:p

edited for content

Note - that would be an act of dominance and nothing else.
