Hi, new to the group. We have a supposed to be pullet that is larger than all other chickens, runs at the others, fluffs up her neck, and before we put them outside in the coop/garden area we heard a loud crow a couple times. They have been outside in their new area now for a couple days and have yet to make a sound. They are 10 weeks today. I have someone to take him I think. I just wanna confirm hes a hes. Im in denial Hes the Grey/white Americauna in the picture. Thanks!
Hi Glad you could join us here! I'm afraid I'm not that familiar with that breed but I'm sure of you post in the what breed gender section members there will be able to help you out ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this Good luck and enjoy your time here on BYC
Let's see, bigger, more aggressive, crows . . . Time to get over your denial - she's a he! Also it looks like he's got saddle feathers coming in. Looks like a cockerel to me. Welcome to BYC!
Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help. It's always hard to tell at this age, but from what I'm seeing I also would guess that's a cockerel. Beautiful EE!
