roo or pullet silkies

I thought the white one was a pullet (regardless of comb and wattles), until I saw the other pictures of him. That's most definitely a boy! The blue one is a pullet though

Can I ask... What can you see in the pictures of the wings? Just wondering why people post photos of them.
