Harched these baby chicks about 4 months or so ago...Blue Plymouth Rock and Lavender Orpingtons.

The dark Blue Rock on the left is definitely a Roo as he is already crowing ( or what he thinks is crowing ),,,but nt sure about the Lavender to his right. Comb slightly larger than it's hatch mates but...I just can't "call it ".

Overall I had been happy with this hatch; out of 13 hatched...9 survived and have a great ratio of 1 ( or 2 ) Roo and the rest Pullets

so is it 8 and 1 or 7 and 2 ?

hmm, when I opened this, I thought surely I would easily be able to tell. I think you have 2 roosters. But the light grey, I am unsure. This picture - looks like a feminine head to me...but the color and compared to the pullet behind her... I think it is a rooster.
My thoughts exactly.

I see two cockerels. The blue Barred, & Lavender Cuckoo.

yes...the darker one is already crowing...just not sure about the lighter one

I'd go about 80% sure that's a cockerel. The size and color of the waddles and comb seem far too developed for a pullet of that age. That said, the 20% unsure comes from so many breeds and crosses these days, you never know. But I'd be chalking that up to a roo in my coop.
