Day 8 for my eggs and not one was showing any sign of growing, so i started opening them to check if i could find one with veins growing, nothing. :'( My rooster is definitely mating with his girls, but maybe he's just too young? He's a 7 month old Silkie and the hens are a 7 month old cochin and a 3 year old bantam cochin. I was really looking foward to silkie babies...

My other rooster is doing his job though. I have 14 Golden Comet X GLW-mix and 4 White Crested Polish X GLW-mixes that are all growing nicely.

Do any of the eggs have a bullseye on them when you crack them?

nope. i thought one had before i incubated them, but i'm guessing maybe it was my imagination playing tricks on me... i'll have to look at the one's my RIR is sitting on at work that she stole from them and see if they are fertile.
