I need some help figuring out what gender this kid is. I know I ended up with one roo out of my 3 I got from the pullet bin at TSC, but I am hoping this red one isn't too. A couple of posters on my last thread said it was a roo, so I figured I would take some better pictures and see what you all thought. And I still dunno what breed he/she is. Supposed to be a 13week old RIR

Looks roo-ish, but I'm not completely sure.

Roo for sure. Hackle feathers are starting to come in, thin and shiny and big seller is ALL red comb at 13 weeks! He seems to be a nice little man there! [IMG]

I'm not sure he's a RIR as he's lighter than my RIR roo, but beyond that I think you'll be hearing a crow soon.

Yes, it's a rooster, no doubt at all. He looks more like a New Hampshire or a Production Red than a RIR, though. Hatchery NHs are really orangey most of the time.

    Yep thats a rooster.
teeville5, speckledhen, I have to agree, he looks more like a production red.
